in class today we talked about what the theme could be.
to do with what is happening in design and the world at the moment.

my group discussed international design, the influence of culture and traditions, trying to create a design style the encompasses all culture and design, that is more personal and lose to home as opposed to the 'international style'

we talked about private vs public, and how they are starting to overlap, in this we looked at tattoo design and how the body is a canvas, and any is getting tattoos these days not just the 'alternative' people. how it can kind of merge its idealisms with graffiti art which is kind of doing the same, it used to be gross and people wanted to get rid of it and hide it with shame but now they are becoming murals and beauty.

as a group discussion we talked about how design s a way of thinking not an outcome.

how making things globalised like all the street signs the same in every country gives a loss of individuality.

embracing cultural change with education.

is there such thing as a new idea?

what is one without the other - what is design without typography, illustration, photography?

is there such thing as graphic design.

when does design become art?
